iPhone 12 has really become a mystery now. We are to tell everything that we know about the iPhone 12 so far. So, we did not see the release of the iPhone 12 during Apple’s September event, but, we got confirmation another Apple event is happening on 13 October 2020 where Apple will most likely be revealing their new iPhone 12 alongside other products.
Various things have been heard about the upcoming iPhone 12 but not everything has been confirmed. The launch will be released virtually, due to the current pandemic and it is set to start at 10 AM PT, converted to 1 AM, 14 October 2020 in SGT. Although we confirmed the event is happening, Apple has yet disclosed any information on what they will be revealing. However, the new 2020 iPhone is so heavily rumored and fans anticipation is at its peak, so we highly believe this event is where we will see the iPhone 12 Singapore got revealed.
If rumors are to be believed, iPhone 12 exists in three models that is, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
On 25th September, tipster @DuanRui also shows three silicone case stickers (although a little strange because the ‘m’ in the moniker is a small letter case) that mentioned existence of the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The numbers mentioned in the picture above depicts the size of the three models of the iPhones in inches. The iPhone 12 Mini is the odd one out there as Apple has never launched a phone with mini in the name, but there’s plenty of evidence to suggest it might do so this year. Alternatively, we’d previously heard of an iPhone 12 Max which could land instead, but either way there will probably be four phones in the range.
The latest iPhone 12 models is expected to come with iOS 14 installed and 5G ready for it to be future proof. The 5G technology is slowly but surely expanding its horizon and mobile devices without 5G supports will be washed out of the market quickly. Hence, it is only wise for Apple to make sure the iPhone 12 series comes 5G ready since their new processor is powerful enough to handle the infamous 5G power chug.

According to Jon Prosser, the standard phones would apparently ship on the week commencing October 19. However, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max apparently won’t be up for pre-order or ship until sometime in November. So an exact new iPhone release date is still a little unclear at this time.

The models include an iPhone 12 Mini with a 5.4-inch display, which starts at $649 and will be available for preorder on Nov. 6 or 7 with retail availability of Nov. 13 or 14. The 6.1-inch iPhone 12 will start at $749 and be available to preorder on Oct. 16 or 17, with release on Oct. 23 or 24. Both models come with storage options ranging from 64 gigabytes to 256GB. The higher-end models include the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, which costs $999 and include a telephoto lens with 4X optical zoom and a lidar sensor for depth tracking, similar to the new iPad Pros. Preorders reportedly begin on Oct. 16 or 17, with release on Oct. 23 or 24. The 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will start at $1,099, and include the lidar sensor and a telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom.

Another leak from Kuo Ming-Chi, who is a very trusted source, stated in an article at Macrumors that all the new iPhone 12 models will come with 5G and a new OLED screen. Hence contradicting the leak by @OmegaLeaks. Comparing the two, the leak by Kuo is more reliable in terms of accuracy.
iPhone 12 Display and Design
Nothing has been yet confirmed about the design of the iPhone 12. Though, if the rumors are to be believed, the display and design of the new iPhone are significantly clearer than the launch dates of the iPhone 12. All these information is according to the rumors and leaks.
So, with Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who’s a very trusted source, being among those to say this, iPhone 12 will have a flatter metal frame than the iPhone 11 range. There are expectations that the rear part of the phones would be of glass and the corner edges can be squared and not rounded.

The above mentioned iPhone display sizes are leaked by Kuo in a research note obtained by MacRumors way back in December 2019. From the same article, we also saw that Kuo also expects all 4 new iPhones 12 will be using OLED instead of LCD. So, we can say that sizes are not really confirmed but from a various sources we have got these sizes.
Notch
The notch in the front of the screen that houses the selfie camera is also rumored to be slimmed down, although unlikely to disappear entirely in this generation of phone. The notch is rumored to be contains important sensors, those for Face ID, for example – and removing it would raise design problems, of course. Apple may go for a punch-hole design, which is a compromise of its own. But we feel that would be the worst of both worlds: an admission that the notch was a misstep, the loss of an iconic piece of design, and a failure, still, to actually provide a seamless all-screen design.

Samsung and Xiaomi have packed a whopping 108MP sensor on their flagships while iPhone resisted and instead focusing on enhancing their post-processing software and introducing bigger better sensors under the camera.
This is why we are skeptical about the inclusion of a 64MP. Considering Apple possibly taking part in the megapixel count race, we expect an increase to be around 16MP or a 48MP camera. There is no reason for Apple to bump to 64MP or even 108MP since their effort on providing a good post-processing software and a powerful sensor is proven to be effective.
iPhone 12: Specifications
According to MacRumors, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (also known as TSMC) – Apple’s exclusive supplier, confirmed the manufacturing of a 5nm chipset for Apple’s 2020 new iPhones. The new chipset known as the A14 chip will allow Apple’s new iPhone to be more powerful than ever and also more power-efficient.
The new processor inside will be capable of greater power efficiency, with six cores inside and a 16-core Neural Engine that’s twice as fast as before.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max reveals scores that are lower than the Snapdragon 865 Plus (the top Android chipset of 2020). That said, the scores are still good, and the iPhone 12 range is sure to be very powerful.
