Sitting at 4.7 inches, the iPhone SE 2020 is almost identical to the iPhone 8. This allowed Apple to keep the price as low as they are. Apple not only brings back the design schematics on the iPhone SE 2020, but they also brought back the HOME BUTTON, which of course, is the reason why the screen is now smaller. Along with the return of home button, comes the FINGERPRINT SENSOR. Although, the 3.5mm jack is still nowhere to be found.

The new SE now comes with an A13 chipset which is much faster compared to what is on the iPhone 8. On paper, the extra power is actually making the iPhone SE 2020 comparable to the iPhone 11 series. The chipset also allows flipping between apps smoother, taking good pictures and editing snaps and/or videos. However, this is still a budget device. It is way behind the all-mighty iPhone 11 series but it’s not far from them.

The iPhone SE 2020 camera is quite a letdown but it is understandable since the phone is targeted at a different consumer bunch. iPhone SE 2020 uses a single wide 12MP and f/1.8 aperture rear camera and a 7MP front-facing camera. The rear camera is similar to what you see on the iPhone XR but what sets the two apart is the A13 chipset in the iPhone SE 2020.

To compensate for the cheaper price, Apple compromised in terms of the battery. The capacity of the iPhone SE 2020 is sitting at 1821mAh and Apple also claimed that it is “about the same as the iPhone 8.”.
