HP Omen Repair – BreakFixNow Singapore
The HP Omen is HP’s premium gaming line, a step up from the Victus. Omen laptops run higher-wattage GPUs, faster displays and more advanced cooling, and many configurations add per-key RGB keyboards. That performance also means more heat, more power draw and more stress on components, so Omen laptops benefit from regular servicing. BreakFixNow repairs all current and recent Omen models.
Omen Models We Repair
HP Omen 16 and Omen 17
The Omen 16 is the most popular Omen in Singapore, offered with Intel Core or AMD Ryzen processors and RTX graphics up to the high-end tiers. The larger Omen 17 targets desktop-replacement users. Both have high-refresh QHD display options and robust cooling, but they draw heavily on the battery and fans during long gaming sessions.
HP Omen Transcend
The Omen Transcend 14 and 16 are thinner, more portable Omen models, with OLED or mini-LED display options on some versions. The slimmer chassis gives less margin for cooling, so dust and dried thermal paste affect performance sooner. Their premium panels are also more expensive to replace than standard IPS screens.
Common HP Omen Faults
Overheating and Throttling
High-wattage GPUs produce a lot of heat, and Singapore’s warm, humid climate makes it worse. Clogged fins and dried thermal paste cause throttling, FPS drops and constant fan noise. We strip and clean the cooling system, replace the thermal compound and test temperatures before and after. Cooling service starts from $60.
Screen Replacement
Omen screens range from 144Hz FHD up to 240Hz QHD, plus OLED and mini-LED panels on the Transcend. We source the exact panel for your model so you keep the same resolution, refresh rate and colour quality. Standard IPS screen replacement starts from $150. OLED and mini-LED panels are quoted by model.
Keyboard and RGB Faults
Heavy gaming use wears out WASD and other frequently used keys, and RGB lighting can fail in zones or across the whole keyboard. Liquid spills are another common cause. Most Omen keyboard faults require a keyboard or top-case replacement. Keyboard replacement starts from $100.
Battery Wear and Swelling
Omen laptops are often left plugged in at full charge during gaming, which accelerates battery wear. Short runtime, sudden shutdowns and a lifting touchpad or bottom panel are signs it is time for a new battery. A swollen battery should be replaced promptly. Battery replacement starts from $80.
Hinge Wear
The larger Omen lids are heavy, and years of opening and closing can loosen the hinges or crack their mounting points. A loose or stiff hinge should be repaired before it damages the display or its cable. Hinge repair starts from $80.

HP Omen Repair – FAQ
My Omen’s FPS drops after a few minutes of gaming. Is it overheating?
Very likely. FPS drops after a few minutes usually mean the CPU or GPU is throttling because of heat. A cooling service with a full clean and fresh thermal compound typically restores stable performance. It starts from $60 and takes about an hour.
Can you replace an OLED or mini-LED screen on the Omen Transcend?
Yes. These premium panels cost more than standard IPS screens, so we quote them by model. Send us your model number and we will confirm part availability and price.
Part of my Omen’s RGB keyboard has stopped lighting up. Can it be fixed?
Yes. We first check the keyboard connection and lighting circuit. If the keyboard itself has failed, we replace it with the correct backlit or per-key RGB version for your model.
How long does an HP Omen repair take?
Cooling service, battery and standard screen replacements are usually done in 1 to 2 hours. Keyboard, hinge and premium screen repairs may take longer depending on parts. We give you a firm estimate after checking the laptop.
Do repairs come with a warranty?
Yes. All BreakFixNow repairs carry a 90-day warranty on parts and labour.
