About This Service

Thermal paste is the heat-conducting layer between a CPU or GPU die and its heatsink. Over time it dries out, cracks, and loses effectiveness — causing temperatures to rise, performance to throttle, and components to age prematurely. A professional repaste commonly reduces temperatures by 10–25°C and fully restores performance in throttling systems.

Dried thermal paste is one of the leading causes of laptop overheating in Singapore — particularly on devices 3+ years old.

Laptop CPU Repaste

Laptop CPUs have no Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) — the paste sits directly on the bare die. Singapore’s heat means laptop thermal paste typically dries out within 2–3 years. We service all major brands: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, MSI, Razer, Aftershock, Alienware, and MacBook (Intel). Gaming laptops with a discrete GPU receive both CPU and GPU die treatment in the same service.

Desktop CPU & GPU Repaste

Desktop CPUs use an IHS — paste sits between the IHS and the cooler base. Desktops typically need repasting every 3–5 years. We cover Intel Core (6th–14th Gen), AMD Ryzen (3000–9000), and Threadripper. For desktop GPUs, we replace die paste and VRAM/VRM thermal pads together. Supported: Nvidia RTX 20/30/40/50, AMD RX 5000–9000, Intel Arc.

Arctic MX-4 is our standard — non-conductive, 8.5 W/m·K, long-lasting, safe on all heatsink materials. Alternatives available on request:

Signs You Need a Repaste

• CPU or GPU temps above 85–90°C at idle or light load
• Thermal throttling — system slows during gaming or intensive tasks

• Device older than 3 years without previous thermal maintenance

Our Process

1. Temperature Check — Baseline logged before any work.
2. Disassembly — Cooler removed following model-specific procedures.
3. Old Compound Removal — Fully removed with 99% IPA and lint-free applicators.
4. Thermal Pad Inspection — VRAM and VRM pads checked on GPUs.
5. Fresh Application — Correct compound applied in the correct amount.
6. Reassembly & Torque — Cooler remounted with even pressure.
7. Stress Test — Full load run post-service. Improvement confirmed and logged.
