Aftershock Laptop Battery Replacement – BreakFixNow

Aftershock is a Singapore gaming laptop brand. Its laptops are built on chassis from manufacturers such as Clevo and Tongfang, so two Aftershock laptops with similar names can use completely different batteries. Gaming loads and Singapore’s heat wear these batteries out faster than an office laptop’s. At BreakFixNow, we find the exact chassis your Aftershock is built on and fit the matching battery, usually the same day.

This page is for Aftershock laptops. For other brands, see our main laptop battery replacement page. For other Aftershock repairs, see Aftershock laptop repair.

Aftershock Battery Replacement by Series

Forge, Titan and S-Series

These are Aftershock’s gaming laptops. They use large batteries to power high-wattage CPUs and GPUs, and they run hot under load, so they wear out faster than most. The Titan is a desktop replacement that is usually plugged in. Kept at 100% charge all day, its battery is the most likely to swell. We fit a battery with the same watt-hour (Wh) capacity as the original, so gaming runtime stays the same.

Vapor, Apex and Slate

These are Aftershock’s thinner, lighter laptops. The battery sits in a tight space under the keyboard and trackpad, so even slight swelling lifts the trackpad or makes it click poorly. Some of these chassis have clips around the bottom panel, which we release carefully to avoid cracking it.

Aftershock Battery Replacement Cost

Aftershock battery replacement starts from $80, with the battery supplied and fitted and a 90-day warranty. Large gaming batteries cost more. We confirm the exact price before any work starts.

To get an exact price before you come down, WhatsApp us one of these:

  • A photo of the label under the laptop: it shows the model and chassis number, which tells us the exact battery.
  • The model name: for example Forge 15 or Vapor 14.
  • The battery label: if the laptop is already open, the battery shows its model code and capacity in Wh.

Signs Your Aftershock Battery Needs Replacing

  • The battery runs out in under an hour, even when you’re not gaming
  • The laptop shuts down while the battery still shows charge left
  • The battery is stuck at a low percentage and won’t charge past it
  • The trackpad or keyboard is raised, or the laptop rocks on a flat desk
  • The Windows battery report shows low battery health

How to check your battery yourself: open Command Prompt, run powercfg /batteryreport and compare the Design Capacity with the Full Charge Capacity. A high battery cycle count with low capacity means the battery is worn out.

⚠️ Trackpad lifting or the laptop rocking on the desk: These are signs of a swollen battery. Unplug the laptop, stop using it and don’t leave it charging. Bring it in as soon as you can.

Battery or charger? If the laptop won’t charge at all, the problem may be the power adapter or the charging port rather than the battery. Gaming laptops need a high-wattage adapter, and a lower-wattage one may not charge them under load. Our diagnosis is free, so you won’t pay for a battery you don’t need.

Our Aftershock Battery Replacement Process

  1. Chassis check: we identify the chassis from the bottom label and confirm the battery’s model code and Wh capacity.
  2. Adapter and port test: we confirm the charger and charging circuit work, so the fault really is the battery.
  3. Battery removal: we remove the bottom panel, disconnect the battery first, then lift it out. A swollen battery is removed slowly and never pressed.
  4. New battery fitted: we fit the matching battery and refit the panel.
  5. Charge and capacity check: we confirm the new battery charges and reports its full capacity before you collect it.

Making Your New Battery Last

If you mostly game plugged in, check whether your laptop’s control centre app has a battery charge limit, and set it to around 80%. Keeping the battery at 100% all day wears it out faster. Cleaning the cooling system also helps, because heat is what ages a battery most. See our laptop cleaning service.

Aftershock Battery Replacement – FAQ

How much does Aftershock battery replacement cost in Singapore?

Aftershock battery replacement starts from $80, with the battery supplied and fitted and a 90-day warranty. Large gaming batteries cost more. We confirm the exact price from your model before any work starts.

How long does Aftershock battery replacement take?

If the battery is in stock, most replacements are done the same day, in 30–60 minutes. Less common chassis may need a battery ordered in. We’ll tell you before you come down.

My Aftershock trackpad is raised. Is that the battery?

Almost always, yes. A swollen battery pushes up on the trackpad from below. Stop using the laptop, unplug it and bring it in. A swollen battery is a fire risk.

Is BreakFixNow an official Aftershock service centre?

No. We are an independent repair shop. If your laptop is still under Aftershock’s warranty, check with Aftershock first. After the warranty ends, we can replace the battery the same day.

Will the new battery last as long as the original?

Yes, as long as it has the same Wh capacity, and we always match it. Even a new battery only lasts 1–2 hours under a full gaming load on most gaming laptops.
