MacBook Pro Repair – BreakFixNow
The MacBook Pro line has changed more than any other Apple laptop: Touch Bar models, the 13″ M1 and M2, the redesigned 14″ and 16″ models with Liquid Retina XDR screens, MagSafe 3 and an HDMI port, and from November 2026 the first OLED touchscreen models. Parts do not cross over — a 14″ M1 Pro screen will not fit a 14″ M3, and a 13″ top case will not fit anything else. So every MacBook Pro repair starts by identifying the exact model. This page lists every MacBook Pro we repair with its A-number, chip and year, and links to the repair pages for that model.
How to Find Your MacBook Pro Model
- If it turns on: Apple menu → About This Mac shows the chip, screen size and year.
- If it does not turn on: turn it over — the model number (A followed by four digits) is printed in small text near the hinge.

What Makes MacBook Pro Repairs Different
- Butterfly keyboards (2016–2019). Intel MacBook Pros from these years use the butterfly keyboard, which fails from dust and needs a top case replacement.
- 13″ vs 14″ and 16″. The 13″ models (including the M1 and M2 A2338) have a Touch Bar and charge through USB-C/Thunderbolt only. The 14″ and 16″ models from 2021 have MagSafe 3, HDMI and an SD card slot, and no Touch Bar.
- Mini-LED and OLED screens. The 14″ and 16″ Liquid Retina XDR displays use a mini-LED backlight, and the late-2026 models use OLED. Both cost more to replace than the 13″ Retina display — see OLED vs LCD for why.
- Fans still matter. Every MacBook Pro has a fan. Dust and dried thermal paste cause loud fans and throttling, especially on Intel models in Singapore’s heat.
- The SSD is soldered. Storage is on the logic board on Apple Silicon models and encrypted by the T2 chip on Intel 2018–2020 models, so board repair is usually the only way to recover data.

Do you repair the newest MacBook Pro models?
Yes, including the M4 and M5 MacBook Pro and the new OLED models. Parts for models released in the last year can take longer to source, so send us the model number on WhatsApp for a price and lead time.
Is the A2338 a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air?
A2338 is the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M1 chip (2020) or M2 chip (2022). It has a Touch Bar and two USB-C ports. Its parts do not fit the MacBook Air A2337 or A2681.
