Joy-Con faults we repair

  • Stick drift — the character or camera moves on its own. The contact pad inside the stick module wears out, so we replace the whole module. Cleaning and recalibration only hide it for a while. See what Joy-Con drift is.
  • Buttons not working — a button is sticky, has to be pressed hard or does nothing. Usually dust or liquid under the button.
  • Rail damage — the Joy-Con will not slide on, will not lock, or falls off the console. The metal rail on the side of the Joy-Con is bent or broken.

Repair or buy a new Joy-Con?

A new genuine Joy-Con costs about S$70–90. Replacing the stick module costs from S$30 per side, and you keep the controller you already have. If only one Joy-Con drifts, only that side needs repairing.

Switch Lite stick drift

The Switch Lite has no detachable Joy-Con. Its sticks are built into the console, so we open the console itself and replace the stick module inside. Bring the whole Switch Lite in.

Pro Controller and other controllers

For a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or another controller, WhatsApp us the model and the fault. We confirm whether we can repair it, and the price, before you come down.

Before you come in

If you want to check the drift yourself first, or try cleaning the stick, the steps are in our Joy-Con drift repair guide. If that does not fix it, the stick module needs replacing.

We are at Bugis, Marine Parade (Parkway Parade), Jurong East (Westgate) and Ang Mo Kio. No appointment is needed. Addresses and opening hours are on our Nintendo Switch repair page.
