Why Laptop Cleaning Matters in Singapore
Most laptop cooling systems are designed for rooms at 20–22°C. Singapore sits at 28–33°C year-round, with high humidity that makes dust clump and pack into the heatsink fins. Within 1–2 years, that dust blocks enough airflow to make the fan loud and the laptop warm.
A regular internal clean is the cheapest way to keep a laptop quiet and running at full speed. If your laptop is already shutting down or very hot, start with laptop overheating repair so we can check every cause.
Signs Your Laptop Needs Cleaning
| Symptom | What It Means | Urgency |
|---|---|---|
| Fan louder than usual (but smooth) | Dust blocking airflow, fan working harder | 🟡 Soon |
| Visible dust at the vents | Heavier build-up inside is likely | 🟡 Soon |
| Warmer than it used to be | Heat not leaving the heatsink fast enough | 🟡 Soon |
| 1–2 years since the last clean | Preventive service due in Singapore | 🟢 Schedule |
| Grinding fan or heat shutdowns | More than dust. See fan repair or overheating repair | 🔴 Immediate |
What Our Laptop Cleaning Service Includes
Spraying compressed air into the vents isn’t a cleaning. It pushes dust deeper into the laptop. Our internal clean covers the whole cooling system:
- Free diagnosis – we check CPU and GPU temperatures first so you can see the before-and-after difference.
- Full disassembly – we open the laptop properly, using model-specific steps to avoid damaging clips, hinges or ribbon cables.
- Heatsink and fan cleaning – compressed air and fine brushes remove packed dust from the heatsink fins and fan blades. This is where most of the improvement comes from.
- Fan inspection – we check the fan bearing. If it’s failing, we quote a fan replacement before doing anything else.
- Reassembly and stress test – we run a load test to confirm temperatures are back to normal.
Add a Thermal Repaste?
If your laptop is more than 2 years old, the thermal paste has probably dried out too. Adding a repaste to your clean costs $60 in total.
Thermal Paste Application →
PTM7950 Phase-Change Pad (5+ year lifespan, from $55) →
Liquid Metal (expert-only, from $80) →

How Often Should You Clean Your Laptop in Singapore?
We recommend a full internal clean every 12–18 months in Singapore, more often than the 2–3 years often suggested overseas. Clean every 12 months if you use a gaming laptop, work in a dusty or carpeted space, or often use your laptop on a bed or sofa.

Laptop Cleaning – FAQ
How much does laptop cleaning cost in Singapore?
Internal cleaning starts from $40. With a thermal repaste added, it’s from $60. Diagnosis is free.
How long does a laptop cleaning take?
Most laptops are cleaned and returned within 30–60 minutes. MacBooks and gaming laptops can take up to 90 minutes.
Is laptop cleaning the same as laptop servicing?
Our cleaning is a full internal service with disassembly and complete dust removal. Some shops only spray air through the vents, which doesn’t remove the dust inside.
Will cleaning stop my laptop running hot?
Usually, yes, because dust is the most common cause. If it still runs hot after a clean, dried thermal paste is the next suspect. See laptop overheating repair for the full list of causes and fixes.
Can you clean a MacBook?
Yes. We clean all MacBook Air and Pro models, both Intel and Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4).
Does cleaning void my warranty?
Opening a laptop can void the manufacturer’s warranty if there are warranty seals. For out-of-warranty laptops this isn’t a concern, and our work has a 90-day warranty.
